The inappropriate use of antibiotics can lead to pathogenic bacteria developing multiple drug resistance, making infectious disease treatment crucial. Thus, the discovery of novel antibiotics from natural materials, such as plant extracts or their combinations, is critically needed. Extracts of green betel (Piper betle) and Moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaves are known to have antimicrobial activity. This study aimed to determine the chemical content and antimicrobial activity of ethanol extracts of the combination of green betel leaves and Moringa leaves against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans. Green betel and Moringa leaves were macerated in 96% ethanol to extract secondary metabolites. Secondary metabolites were analyzed using phytochemical screening. Antimicrobial activity was tested using disk diffusion using various concentrations: EF1 (25% betel leaves + 75% moringa leaves), EF2 (50% betel leaves + 50% moringa leaves), and EF3 (75% betel leaves + 25% moringa leaves). Phytochemical tests showed that the ethanol extracts of betel leaves contained flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, and saponins, and no terpenoids, while moringa leaves contain flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids, but no alkaloids. S. aureus and E. coli had the highest inhibition zones at EF3 (75% betel leaves + 25% moringa leaves) concentrations, with average inhibition zones of 21.72 mm and 20.98 mm, respectively, and C. albicans at EF2 (50% betel leaves + 50% moringa leaves) concentration, with an average inhibition zone of 26.52 mm, with a very strong inhibition category.

1670731 #3029 In-Silico Studies of Compounds Derived from Brucea javanica (L.) Merr. as Potential Inhibitors of Influenza A Neuraminidase H5N1 Nuwarda, Rina Fajri
The H5N1 bird flu virus continues to be endemic in Indonesia, posing continued threats to the poultry farming industry and public health. Classified as an influenza type A virus, the avian influenza virus is a member of the Orthomyxoviridae family. Type A influenza virus is the most lethal strain and frequently evolves resistance. The exploration of novel neuraminidase (NA) inhibitors is imperative due to the development of resistance by the H5N1 virus to NA drugs. Brucea javanica extract inhibits the activity of the H5N1 NA enzyme, according to previous research. Using the molecular docking technique, this study sought to ascertain the in-silico activity of the B. javanica compound in relation to H5N1 NA. By utilizing molecular docking simulation, we conducted the in-silico study and predicted the toxicity and pharmacokinetic profile of compounds, in addition to their drug-likeness according to Lipinski's Rule of Five. The result showed that Bruceantinol had a free binding energy of -8.93 kcal/mol, an inhibition constant of 0.28 M, and interactions with six important amino acid residues. The HIA and CaCo-2 values were 47.935% and 19.871%, respectively, whereas the PPB and BBB values were 39.591% and 0.049%. Neither is this substance carcinogenic nor mutagenic. Low binding energy and the most favored interaction with H5N1 NA were observed for Bruceantinol. Thus, Bruceantinol exhibits potential as a prospective NA inhibitor.

1670730 #3029 Software Development to Calculate Absorbed Dose Rate Distribution Using TG-43 Formula Isnaini, Ismet
Imrana, Wahyuni Z
Radioisotope applications have become widespread in many fields, such as medical. For the optimal treatment using radioisotope, an accurate absorbed dose rate distribution calculation is required to provide the optimal dose for each patient. A software has been designed to calculate this absorbed dose rate distribution so that paramedics would know whether the absorbed dose rate distribution emitted from that particular source is sufficient or not. Using the TG-43 formula derived by American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM), the calculation were performed using manufacturing data of the Ir-192 source and the function which involve the geometric position between the source and a calculation point. The results of this calculation which were viewed using the imageJ software, have shown that the absorbed dose rate for a source located in the center of  a volume was getting larger near the source location but has decreased drastically at the source location. This is due to the unavailability of manufacturing data for radius less than 2.5 mm. As for absorbed dose rate distribution emitted from several sources, the dose rate accumulated and reached the maximum in the middle. It has also formed some sort of shape depending on the location of the source, which form an isodose line or curves.Keywords: TG-43 Formula, absorbed dose rate distribution

Wahyuningrum, Retno
Charisma, Shintia Lintang
Background: cinchona extract contains quinoline alkaloids, has telangiectatic activity, is practically insoluble in water so penetration into hair follicles is low and requires a delivery system, namely cream. Objective: to determine the formula of cinchona extract cream with good activity, physical stability and safety. Methodology: cinchona bark extraction (soxhletation method), phytochemical screening, cinchona extract dosage determination, optimization of cream formula using Design Expert software version 11. Evaluation: pH, adhesion, spreadability, viscosity and cycling test stability. Activity test using guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) for 14 days, parameters of hair length/2 days, hair mass (14th day). Acute dermal irritation test using rabbit (Orycogalus cuniculus) by erythema and edema index parameters. Results: cinchona extract (13.32% yield) contained quinoline alkaloids, cinchona extract dosage was 20% (p<0.05). The optimum formula is F2 with characteristics: pH 6.48±0.07, adhesion 1.16±0.07, spreadability 4.99±0.85 and viscosity 3067±416.45, has good physical stability. Activity test: test area hair length 13.54 – 62.14% longer than normal control and 10.10 – 49.17% than negative control. The hair mass of test area was 122.91% heavier than normal control and 104.48% of negative control (p<0.05). Cinchona extract and excipients were non-irritant. Conclusion: Cinchona extract cream (20%) has hair fertilizer activity, good physical stability and safety.

Musfiroh, Ida
